Some of us headed over to Schellville to enjoy the open day and an opportunity to browse the hangar - pics below.
The military plane at the bottom is a Broussard MH 1521. We agreed that it would make a great build. George has subsequently obtained a plan for a peanut version from Bill Hannan, and we think it would make the perfect scale contest build to kick off the 2011 season.

What a coincidence. Just last week I picked an issue of Model Builder off the shelf at random. I thought the peanut in that issue (Aug '83) might be worth building. It was the Broussard MH 1521. Cue 'Twilight Zone' theme...

Mike, that is a weird coincidence, but I can see why you and George both had the same idea. Looks like a good scale subject. I imagine myself with one of these at the FAC French Design Mass Launch.
